Default some new cloth

hi all
here are some of the cloth items i've picked up this week.
interesting service stripes on the left, WW1?
that's one big padded crown. what period do you think? innitially thought it was british until i turned it over. Andersons of Sydney
what period are the service stripes on the right? are they aussie?

Those service chevrons on the right might be efficiency chevrons for the CMF circa 1930-39, worn on the right forearm. They were also worn on brassards as rank badges by NCOs. Forget what the entitlement was, but I think one year efficient was a gold strip, after five years the gold strips were replaced by one silver strip and the gold strips started again until the next five years were up. Have the authorities somewhere here.

Yes the big crowns are awesome, quite a few photos appear with them in wear in Australia above chevrons by sergeants-major during the period until the end of the Great War.
