I love going to the NAM, but it can be sooooo very frustrating when you get there! Tried to see the Irish Mess Silver collection that they had, got in once! Either they had no one to open the room or it was having something being done to it! Until last time I was informed that the collection is no longer housed in London.
As an aside John Chapple's Irish collection was sold to the National Museum of Ireland about 2 years ago, and has yet to see the light of day! They don't even admit to having it..............
