Default Age of Trench Whistle

I have a J Hudson & Co, Trench Whistle with a DoD Arrow and numbers 973-7001 but no date, can I date this some way. Thanks in advance

973-7001 looks like part of an NSN (NATO Stock Number) so post WW2.

The full NSN would look something like 8564-99-973-7001 where 99 represents UK.

A member with access to the full NSN list may be able to confirm.

I collect whistles and this is as acorn says, a stock code, although I would date it to1970+. I assume we are talking about a Hudson tubular design?

I own two, they only sell for a few pounds.
