Seem to be a lot of EI-pics floating round lately, so here are some of my latest additions Colin

Very nice Norfolks. Nice to see a correct one rather than the usual fakes with Mr Punch's nose and the square pronged trident.
EI prices seem to have gone up considerably recently; possibly due to recent research generating interest. The Irish ones in particular are reaching significant prices. The last Inniskilling Fusiliers I saw was £30 and the Munsters even more. |

Instead of fumbling around with photoshop and lightboxes like I sometimes do, I went Old School on these. A piece of black velvet on the windowsill at work, around noon. A Canon SX220, set at iso100 and pinpoint brightness (measures brightness inside the camera frame as opposed to overall scene) and, oddly enough, flash (set to -2) to bring out colour. Then crop. It's a very time saving technique, and you're free to post-process as much as desired at a later point (sharpness, contrast, and black level)
