Evening all.

Here you are, below is a proper 3rd (City of) London Rifle Volunteers badge, this is for the Forage cap worn 1858 -1908, it is not bi metal but a one piece strike.

3rd (City of London) Forage cap badge 1898 - 1908.1908 became 7th Btn London..JPG

As Alan has stated, and to which I agree, the badge subject to this thread is a fantasy item, an amalgam of the 3rd London RV and 7th Battalion (City of) London Regiment badge.

DSC01190.jpg

The 7th badge, should in my opinion, have a separate numeral 7 attached by a prong, or whatever its called, via a hole.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Brian

Good evening Andy.

Wellllll, that's me.

I'm disappointed that I wasn't there, I feel that in a way I let you all down, late notice and all that, but heigh ho, there will be another time.

I thought I'd put this badge up previously, possibly in an album.....maybe not though...age is catching up.

Certainly hope to speak soon.

Regards

Brian

Just had a look and it is in one of my albums, with some other Rifle Volunteers stuff.

Ok, Nr. 3 is a fantasy so let it be then. Thank you everyone who took their time to answer.

Here is few items that I would like to ID:

First badge I just would like to confirm that it is an United Service Corps badge from Victorian period? I presume pretty common item?

Don't have a clue what this collar is, from what period, etc.

This is a United Services Corps badge but later than the Victorian Period.
It was an organization similar to The Corps of Commissionaires.

Heaureka - can these "3"s be some kind an Indian unit insignia????

next one... what badge is this. Really good two part construction. Made from silver and both parts are hallmarked. Crown and "sticks" enamelled.

Also if someone can advise regards the value would be great. Sorry because bad photos - still learning how to use my phone for good shots.
