Default RE Victorian Pouch Badge Repair Thanks Dave C

I thought I would show the badge below which was returned in today's post after having been to Dave's Badge Hospital In Tamworth.

It is a QVC Royal Engineers Pouch Badge (Possibly Binocular case) that I picked up at Woking a few weeks ago. It had previously been part of a large collection sold at DNW some time back and although still a nice piece it was missing three of its fixing blades.

I managed to snap the fourth blade off myself but retained it for a pattern so Dave had something to go by as an aid to originality and I have to say that he got it spot on.

Sincere thanks Dave, the workmanship is as usual first class and I'm very pleased to have the badge sympathetically restored to its former glory.

Regards

Ry

Was that bostick and blue tack, Dave?

Seriously, a nice job. Very unusual fasteners?
