Recently bought this badge, anyone any ideas as to what it is? Eddie?

Well - those are certainly Arabic characters, I don't think it's Arabic but it might be a language using Arabic script. In particular the middle of the scroll has an ٨ (or an 8) as well as as a diacritic character which makes absolutely no sense.
My guess is that it is a made up article combining the horseshoe and the RAF Albatross and some gibberish Arabic characters for sale to gullible Europeans in some far off Souk. But I am happy to be corrected. |

Thanks for replying Eddie.
I was wondering what on earth the horseshoe was about - maybe the pony, from Pony & Trap (crap). Craig |

Thanks Roger. That's the only image I could find too - pity it's so small.
