Is it just me, but it looks cast with the hall marks lacking detail, and with blades is a cap badge?

It appears to have the "Bent & Parker" stamp and then the "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company"..... but their stamp was normally contained within a trefoil design?

Odd..... but I am sure ST will have the answer.

I would be surprised if it’s even silver
My silver MG badges are pristine strikes, with clear hallmarks and with silver lugs

A couple of people who share tables at one of the fairs seem to have these G&S collars for £50 a pair regularly.

Default Cast copy hallmarks.

Good evening.

I have tried to warn Members about these copies on at least two previous occasions. See: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=30732 for example.

They are so bad as to be laughable, but people still fall for them.

Now, who is going to ask him if he'd like the matter be referred to the Assay Master at the Assay Office?

Hey ho!

Enjoy.

S.T.

This badge has a spurious Birmingham Assay mark, it would be very interesting to see exactly what Stella Layton makes of it, moreover, she is on Linkedln, so contact should not be an issue.

Very very horrible. I have a genuine one - they are far crisper and better finished on the rear. This looks like a cast copy.

And I fully agree with Silver Tourist now and before.
