Thanks Mike for sharing.
I just hope someone in Canada has deep enough pockets to buy the group and keep it in Canada, where it belongs.

The Canadian Government should make sure the medals stay in Canada where they belong.

Default D.V. Currie VC Medal Group

There are export limitations already in place to prevent Canadian VCs from leaving the country and usually the CWM is provided the funding to purchase Canadian VCs for their collection.

That's the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board Ed's referring to.

Hopefully the government hasn't spent all its money on robots in Ottawa or big plastic rubber ducks!

Default VC Sold

A sad day, sold to a buyer in the UK, for $660,000.

I thought Canadian VC's were not allowed out of the country.

Default Currie VC

Is there anything in print that actually states the medal group is leaving the country?
