Eddie
I did 21 years with that outfit and i still have my original cap badge. Had no idea it was used in the military, maybe he was an Army postman HaHaHa Cheers Malc

Nice of you to "post" it Eddie. It gets the "stamp"of approval.

Laughable but I am astounded at the lack of basic knowledge of some people who set themselves up as militaria dealers.

Ist Class thread this
I remember seeing a Postman in Hitchin wearing a blue or black beret with his cap badge on. Female posties used to have a beret as part of their uniform back in the 80's, but this was definitely a military type beret. Perhaps the Glengarry in the first post was worn by a patriotic Scottish Postman |

I've just looked at some of his other headgear online, as recognition skills her are not, shall we say, acute - like this one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRITISH-AR...item3f1c6f3177 Nice of them to offer to put another, wrong, badge on it... I suppose the mitigation is that these are not being sold at horrendous prices with dodgy descriptions! |
