Default RN Trade Badges

Good afternoon folks,

Does anyone have any decent reference material on RN Trade Patches??? I got a load of these and don't know where to find anything out about them.

I've tried google but there isn't anything comprehensive on there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, Bill

Bill, build an album and I am sure the membership will fill in the required names.

I don't have my scanner at Northwood mate, I will try and photograph them and put them on here.

See if you can get a copy of "Badges & Insignia of the British Armed Services" You may be able to get it through your library or on ebay. It is a very good reference, but does stop in the 1970s. Other than that you could build up a reference looking at descriptions of RN badges on ebay.

Unlike the army and RAF there is a multitude of specialist badges and they are changing regularly as specialisations merge etc.

If there are any particular badges you are not certain of then post them on the forum and someone will give you the answer.

Hi Guys,

thanks for your interest and advice.

This is the best I could do at the minute, I'll get them scanned and put in an album after Easter Leave

Thanks again, Bill

John,

many thanks for your help mate, I have now managed to identify all of them. I'll scan them when I get the chance and put them in an album.

I actually work in an office with 3 RN people but they are on Easter leave for 2 weeks at the moment, wanted to show off to them that I found out what they were lol. I've been promised loads of Navy stuff as I work for NATO but whether it actually arrives is another matter

Again many thanks for you help gents, have a great Easter weekend and don't eat too many eggs

Regards, Bill

Bill,

I have an album of RN badges. It might help you identify some of your badges.
