No Sh*t Sherlock.
Just been watching an old Sherlock Holmes film staring the ultimate Sherlock, Basil Rathbone.
Gave him a quick Google and learned he served with the London Scottish and was then commissioned into the King's Liverpool Scottish, found the article interesting so here's a link for anyone interested. Tony. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil_Rathbone

To quote John Lennon " Ellafitzgerald my dear Whopper" ( from a Spaniard in the Works ) but as well as Basil Rathbone, James Dale ( later to be Dr.Dale in the BBC radio series Mrs.Dales Diary- not that I ever listened to it ) also served in the Liverpool Scottish in WW1 as did Air Chief Marshall Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory.
