Default Army PT Badge Size Question

I am working with a friend to help him set up a WW2 Air Landing display and one of he badges he is looking for is a PT badge. I have encountered two size of he badge, list ed as a large badge and then another as a small badge.

I am guessing that the large one is for the side cap and the small one for the beret. If that is correct then I would think my friend would want ot the smaller badge to go on the maroon beret???

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Terry

Found this Terry, it's from the Paradata site.
This chap was Air landing.
He's wearing a maroon beret, don't know if you can work out badge size from it?
Hope all is well

Chris

Many thnaks Chris! I did a lot of looking before I posted but never found anything. I did find some nice stuff about the first women to earn the maroon beret! I will pass this on to my friend.

You're the best, Thank you again,

Terry

The smaller sized beret badges never appeared until about 1950 to the best of my knowledge. Besides which there has never been a smaller sized version of the APTC cap/beret badge anyway.

Thanks Hoot, More great info that I will pass on to my friend. Not in my area of collecting except the medical units and medics, so I appreciate the help!
