Default REME

I paid a little visit to the REME shop to pick these two up, the lugged one is advertised as REME cap badge for forage and the slider one as REME cap badge with Kings Crown. It will be interesting to compare once I gat an NSN badge.

Both made by AMMO.

Not sure I like the Kings crown yet!

The badge with slider appears to be of better quality, certainly in the fine details and quite lovely.

Solid crowns for this King's badges certainly seems to be the way it is going.

Thanks for showing!

Cheers......John

It will be interesting to compare these commercial ones to the coronation and the final sealed patterned issued ones when they appear.

The exact reason I brought them Alan, they had some at King Charles coronation, but I’m not sure if these have been sealed or if they were just a local purchase for the ceremony. I would love to get a REME badge from the coronation and then compare all 3.

I have more than 600 pairs of collar badges in five albums.
This pair of 17/21 Lancers mottos are the only ones I suspect of being reproduction or fake.

However, the could be others out there but generally it appears that collar badges are not widely reproduced.
