Default Unusual 1943 black Kangol beret

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322542623736?

A most unusual 1943 dated black beret on ebay at the moment. It has the makers details that were introduced around 1949 though the 1943 stampings do not seem to be tampered with. Also it has two sets of grommets and no broad arrow.

Any thoughts?

Doesn't look right. It would still have the year stamp on it somewhere??
Funny one as it looks very clean and un messed with but the Kangol stamp isn't one i've ever seen.

All of the date numbers are wrong , the join at the back of the leather is not correct for a war time kangol wear beret , to many eyelets it's a post war example that's been messed with .!

Ask to see its WD inspector's mark for proper confirmation of the date.

There is not one on this example and remember that not all WWII berets have the WD stamp i.e. RN examples don't But they all should have a Arrow government mark Execpt private purchase beret but this is not a RN nor is it a private purchase one just an out right fake steve

The lettering is clearly hand painted
