Hi, I bought a lot from one guy who was in the armoured car section. I kept a set of titles, badge, collars and buttons(which I can photo if wanted) but I got rid of the named ones. From memory I think they were Groves but they were all named on the back of the circle and lugged.

I am pretty sure there were genuine slider badges, but the only name I'm sure of is Dowler of Birmingham (the spelling may be wrong). This maker seems to figure in the list of ones to take care with?

Hi, no, the reverse is of the cap badge. I can do a reverse shot of the collar if you want or any of the other bits. Mike

Default PP M/N

Eddie
I have checked my PPs and find -

Palestine Gendarmerie - Cap Badge marked " GAUNT LONDON"

Palestine Police Cap Badges - solid and void - J R GAUNT LONDON

Palestine Police Cap - void - MARPLES & BEASLEY Birmingham - Google has much on this firm, including several references to questionable issues.

PP Buttons - strangely all buttons, uniform, blazer etc are from FIRMIN LONDON

Default Palestine Police Badges

All cap badges,of whatever makers mark (and some without),have sliders. The badges with lugs could be worn on the beret as by the Police Mobile Force,on the astrakhan kalpak,or on the khaki ' hatta ' as sported by the camel corps.I understand that the solid cap badge was replaced by the voided type in the late 1920's.
