Red blanking patch
Good afternoon,
I have found this blanking tab with a large red patch. I need your advice. Thank you. |

My first thought was war games, for identifying teams?

1st Canadian Infantry Division? They've been wearing the red patch since 1916.

I would agree with Bob. On a current British Army MTP PCS CU blanking plate, probably worn (and on both arms) to indicate OPFOR (Opposing Forces) on training exercises.

But probably not over another patch like this. I think Bob has the right of it.
