"....like a shaft of gold while all around is darkness....."
Good morning.
Indeed. I (the "learned" one) posted the link here days ago in another thread, but it went over the heads of most. Still, if some people won't read a book, what hope is there of them reading anything else? And don't we just know whose Site it is? Enjoy. S.T. PS. I'll give a special prize to anyone who can complete the quotation. |

I claim my prize. 'Your Majesty is like a stream of bat's piss'.
As in: JAMES McNEILL WHISTLER: Yes, thank you. Right, Your Majesty is like a stream of bat's piss. (gasps) THE PRINCE OF WALES: What? JAMES McNEILL WHISTLER: It was one of Wilde's. OSCAR WILDE: It sodding was not! It was Shaw! THE PRINCE OF WALES: Well, Mr. Shaw? GEORGE BERNARD SHAW:I, um, I, ah, I merely meant, Your Majesty, that, ah, you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXZJF0-d_M8 Last edited by High Wood; 05-11-14 at 09:41 AM. S.T. Apologies, when I tried the link when your post first appeared it didn't seem to work, I found the site yesterday when searching on military buttons however there is an old saying " it aint what you say, its the way that you say it " I don't know who the owner of the button site is, could it be someone with legal training, connections with Russian Royalty and someone who has the world record for the number of times of being banned from this site, or am I miles off ? P.B.

No sign of my prize then? I was expecting a book token at the very least.
