Default Sherwood Foresters

Hello all,

I have 2 Sherwood Foresters badges, the older one on a slider I think is a good badge. Is the badge with lugs a copy or were lugs used on this badge. It looks alright from the front although it is quite well polished.
Thanks in advance, Alan Y.

Certainly, lugs were used on the 1902-1952 Notts and Derby cap badge, particularly in the early days. Generally speaking, once mass production started in WW1, lugs were replaced by sliders. That does not mean that, at some later time, a manufacturer didn't make a batch with lugs. Your badges - both of them - seem fine. Regards. David

Thanks David,

I was hoping they were both OK.

Regards Alan Y.
