Default Free Polish Badge?

This badge is for sale on ebay, and the seller freely admits that it is a reproduction.

However, I have one of these that I have had for the best part of 40 years. My question is, was this type of badge ever worn by the Polish Army in the UK?

I have a few of the "standard" white eagle Polish cap badges, but the one I have had since the 1970s was the only example of this type that I had seen - until now.

It is shown in Zawistowski's Polish cap badges book in the commemorative, lapel and sweethearts section as No. 319 as Emblemat z herbem RP, which Google translates as Emblem with the emblem of the Republic of Poland.
Google translate of the description:
In 1942 in London for sale plaque occurred, according to depict the national coat of arms mod. 27 supplemented at the bottom wstegs with the inscription POLAND . It was equipped with a kickstand allowing you to set it upright. in the same year ( GASK ) started production of emblems modeled on the plaque , but equipped with hooks in the form of omega. Probably the first manufacturer of both emblems was Vladislav Buszek. So far, there could be documented in the wearing of emblems on their caps uniformed. Last sentence means to me that there is no evidence these were ever worn on uniform.

Rgds, Thomas.

I am going to have to dig out the badge in question.

It has never been unpacked since a move in 2001!

I will get back on this.
