Default ? cast badge

Hi, I recently got this badge and not quite sure if it's a copy or just poorly made, any ideas? thanks in advance, Mike

The existence of sand cast badges is a touchy topic for collectors. They did/do exist but without proper provenance they are difficult to confirm.

It is not a Canadian armoured regiment badge. It is a bad casting of a collar badge for the King's Canadian Hussars. They were converted to artillery in 1939.

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I also have sand cast badges of units serving in Italy are they liable to be copies? thanks again Mike
