Default opinions wanted on pegasus patch please

Hi Gents,
Not my area of collecting but I fear the worse as I have seen nothing on the Forum similar to this patch.
It is a small 65 mm x 50mm Pegasus patch your opinions are welcomed.
Many Thanks
Colin

Without being able to see it in the flesh, I would suggest that is a contemporary flash, but, not the best example.

Default Personally I like the look of it mate

I'd be happy to own it. I'm not a Peggy guru, but I think the construction looks pretty good.
Eager to learn.

That's a very nice Pegasus, I would happily add it to my collection.
It is an unusual pattern, so perhaps slightly less valuable than the more commonly known ones.

I Have seen this style on officers service dress more than else where , perhaps it just the examples that a particular officers tailors had this batch made up and its just coincidence the para officers all went to the same tailor just out side the depot in the town and that shop had a distinct batch made up ?? may be as simple as that ?

I do think we some times over thing the history of these little bits of
`haberdashery ` that were never designed to be collected or of any value

I agree with Michael. I know it allows the gazillions of fakes around to be touted as rare hand made examples.
But having seen this patch, I feel it's right.
Happy Boxing Day
Jon

It looks fine to me, perhaps an uncommon variant but construction etc looks correct for a private purchase version. Very similar to one I have
