Womens Imperial League brooch - British & Commonwealth Military Badge Forum

Hello Forum members,

I have this small brooched badge but have not been able to find any information of this organization.

I am wondering if it is linked to the Women's Imperial Service League formed by Mrs. Mabel St Clair Stobart in August 1914. This medical unit went to Antwerp, then to France and later to Serbia.

One of a number of private initiatives, the WISL, as you say, did sterling service in Serbia and a number of the members were decorated by the Serbs. Here is a little information form an interesting site: https://womanandhersphere.com/2014/0...women-doctors/
