Default RFC lot

Hi all,

Came across with this lot, large and small RFC badges, handful of buttons and some kind of buttonhole badge (no idea what it is).

Any ideas are these ok or repros? I assume buttons are ok .

They look great to me Phaethon, a real time capsule. The large is cap badge and the smaller a collar badge. The buttons are not RFC, but early RAF. What does the lapel badge say, is it Knights of ‘Sleep’?

I have not been able to find any reference to the 'Knights of Sleep', but given the two lapel badges association with a wings motif, it seems likely to have been a society formally connected with aviators. Perhaps the RAF museum (Hendon), or the Museum of Army Flying (Middle Wallop) could help. You should also try the Great War Forum.
