Nurses armband?
Does anyone recognise this armband? I assume that is was worn by members of a military nursing organisation but I may be wrong.
Many thanks, Simon. |

I could be wrong but I think this is a Royal Navy armband, not sure of usage, and don't think it has anything to do with nurses.

Steven,
many thanks for your thoughts. I will look into Naval armbands which are something that I am not familiar with. Simon |

Looks like the Royal Navy Police armband but without the usual 'N' and 'P' either side of the crown.

A nursing arm band would almost always have a Red Cross or Red Crescent on it.

Hi Simon
Worn by Royal Navy Regulating Petty Officers, and by other Petty Officers on Naval Patrol duties (Shore Patrol) in port (and probably used by other Colonial/Commonwealth Navies). Regards Graham
