Your right Phil - the new museum is in Cairns.

The existing Tank Museum is at Puckapunyal.

Had some fine times a Pucka, didn't like the route marches much though.
Basic training in 1967.

I remember the mud and dust there when driving M113s around Pucka range.

It was all new to me then as a mere lad of 20 from Tasmania, first trip on an aeroplane, first time out of Tassie. I saw worse camps after that, good old government and bloody conscription.
