Default Helmet flash and badge outline

Could anyone please identify the unit that this insignia represents?

Thank you.

The red/black/red might relate to an Army or Command Troops unit, that being the standard staff armlet colours for those formations.

Thank you Keith. The other stencil appears to be a crude representation of the PoW's feathers with a title scroll and could possibly be an interpretation of the Welsh Regiment's cap badge.

Note the vent holes on the side of this helmet which is not of course 1st World War vintage.

The one in the eBay link is presumably a HG helmet, the three holes stamped on either side of the rim showing it's a MkIIc (I think it's a MkIIc?) for home service.
Don't know about the originality of the insignia.

It's eBay - people'd sell their grandmother's let alone granddad's stuff.

I also thought HG. How does this tie in with the earlier identification of the helmet flash?
