Default Guards Divisional patch

Hi all

I received this today.
I ordered it as a "high quality replica" for use in a display. (Chances are I'll never procure a real one)
I've never seen one in the flesh, actually, not a colour picture either, so can anyone tell me if this looks ok?

Also, I see the seller has dubbed it "BRITISH WW1 GUARDS ARMOURED DIVISION DIVISIONAL SIGN", though I have no recollection of reading about a specific "Armoured Division" sign as opposed to the "regular" Divisional sign?

Cheers

Colin

Colin,

Your badge is a reasonably accurate replica of the badge worn by the Guards Division in WWI.

It is nothing like the badge of the WW2 Guards Armoured Division a scan of which is attached.

There is an example of the WW2 sign currently listed on ebay.

From a slightly different perspective, there were no armoured divisions during the First World War.

Thanks Jon and Bill!

That's going into my framed display

You sure about that now?
