The Indian Army, circa WWII had at least two 'elephant' patches at the brigade or division level, but this is NOT one of them. Agree with Mike.

Re Elephant patch; I can only say that this is a non-military German item connected with (I believe) Berlin/ Sorry i can't be more definite. Terry

Or then again, as per post no.4, the US 6970th Civilian Support Center (Engineer Construction).
(Not that Id've known if I hadn't read that post).
Is the symbol of Berlin not a bear?
