Private Purchase Para Wing
Recently acquired this example. From an old collection here in the U.S. Appears to be Indian / Far East made, to my eyes at least. Nicely padded.
Late war or early post war. Would like to hear other's thoughts. Thanks Jack

Something special imo, very nice and "Indian" made seems correct.

Congratulations Jack, a very nice wing. I had my eye on this one too. I got several others from the same old collection. Did you end up with the Moroccan wings? Given Lt. Col. Harrington’s early career in SF starting in the 1950’s, I’d say he accumulated some of these wings while serving on mobile training teams in Africa or the Far East. Your wing could be a tailor’s version of the standard UK para wing, but made in a Commonwealth country, like Southern Rhodesia, SA, or Singapore. Just a guess on my part due to the workmanship, but a fine example of the tailor’s art in any case.

Hello Donovan, no did not get the Moroccan wings. They were some nice pieces. Those got knicked before I had a chance. There was some nice pieces early. Was able to get 2 British wings and some decent French pieces.
Best Jack

VERY nice wing ,bt I genuinely think these are post war worn when the New armies were been created ,its the brown edging thread, I have had these before and the blue part of the wing is typical WW.2 manufacture and I believe the brown edging was added post war a case of using up old stock , would love to be wrong for your sake, be super if sum one can proove it pre 1946

Agree Jack, a nice example no matter when it was made.
