Default South Africa Defence Force PTI badge

Can anyone help please: South Africa Defence Force PTI badge.

In the present SANDF and for the last number of years there have been 2 levels of PTI badges, crossed swords, for 1st level and crossed swords with the arm of service above as the advanced level. These badges are worn on the right chest above the name tag, but in the “old” days of the SADF (1970’s and early 80’s) the crossed swords were worn above the rank badge. My question is were they worn on both arms above the rank badge or only one and if so which one, and on what date did they change from the arm to chest badges.

Thanks, Neville
