Default British Guiana Police

Just returned from the police collectors swap meet in Glasgow, had a good time meeting friends and acquaintances old and new, sold off a few bits and picked up badges from a dozen ‘new’ countries, of which this belt buckle from the British Guiana Police is definitely the cream of today’s crop.

A very happy bunny

Garry

Thank you, it was one of those rare moments when you see a badge and think ‘wow, that’s something special’ (is that how women feel when they buy shoes?). I was interested to see your post regarding the collar badge the other day, nice find.

John

Nice badges, thanks for sharing. I have to say (and I mean no disrespect to the country and people of Guyana) that I prefer the older badges to that currently worn by their police. Just seem to have more character, as many other colonial-era badges.
