Default Kenya regiment TF, bronze or brass?

Picked up this Kenya regiment TF cap badge, is it bronze or brass with lots of partina?

I dont understand the dirty badge thing.... washing up liquid and a toothbrush and you will know in seconds (and still have a genuine badge)

Hi,

It looks to be a “Blackened” brass pattern, suggesting that it was probably worn on active service.

Regards,

Zob.

Hello Luc,

Just for reference I’ve attached a scan of my “Blackened” pattern, against a Silver Gilt version of the same badge. Albeit both later striking’s than the lovely badge displayed in your photo.

So please don’t clean your badge anymore!

Best regards,

Zob.
