when i have bid on it i imagine the flash was blue on red, but at reception it is blue yellow blue.
i think the flash is for royal horse artillery , is it good ? the good badge could be a staybright RHA ?

It is the badge backing for the PWRR

The RHA wear a Dark Blue Beret

The Kings Troop RHA are part of the Household Division, and if anything would wear that Beret Backing of Blue/Red/Blue

Thats where my beret went!

The beret in the picture does indeed bear the blue/yellow/blue badge backing for the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment [although in the early days a few hamster badges were spotted on them].

The beret colour is correct for that regiment, how on earth it sported a Royal Artillery badge is beyond me.

No hang on, cant be my beret, far too small [said it before you Marc].

the price for the leçon is not too hight (15 euros shipping inclusive)

the badge is a good RA with reinforcement (1917 patern) , but expensive for it....

if some body want the beret ..... i'm not interested by it

not a good day, perhaps better luck with euromillion

i put it on french EBAY:

Take the PWRR flash off and put a standard RA BERET badge on and you have a beret similar to that worn by members of 4/73 Speical OP Bty RA.

No beret badge backing is worn by any member of Royal Regiment of Artillery.

Didn't some RA officers wear a red felt outline behind a silver/gilt ubique grenade on the genral service cap or beret during the latter part of WWII?

Rgds,

Thomas.

The main word in my reply.

Having served with 3 regiments of the RA (5 Lt, 32 Lt and 42 Fld) and encountered several more while in REME workshops I can only say that I never saw a backing on a RA beret.

Two examples here - the first was worn by a LBdr in 113 Fd Regt RA in 1944/45. The second, an officer's badge, I cannot attribute:
