Default Attributable Royal Flying Corps FSC

I was lucky enough to be the highest bidder on this FSC which came with a pay book and a note book that identifies the original owner, at a local auction. It was described by the auctioneer as an 'army hat' but unfortunately two other bidders recognised it for what it is and consequently was not the bargain that it might have been. Still, they do not come along every day.

The former owner served with the 6th Royal Berkshire Regiment before transferring to the RFC as a Sergeant. He ended up with the 'R' Reserve Section RAF as an instructor.

Very nice indeed, I suppose the auctioneers description was correct, although, rather brief, but, as you say, they certainly do not turn up every day, worth paying for, a lovely thing.

Great looking, untouched piece. Correct buttons and all.
