Default Divisional Badge Information Required

Hi,

I am a new recruit and joined to see if you could identify the division my uncle was in in WW2. There is a divisional badge partly showing on his left shoulder of the first image and the second image has '29.4.1944 Just a bit of training' written on the back. I seem to recall he was in Burma at some point. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Ellis in Uniform again.jpg

This is the left hand half of the formation sign of Lahore District - an administrative formation. The sign depicts an ancient cannon named Zam-Zammah which stood outside the Lahore Museum (and may still be there). The cannon is in black on a red rectangular ground. I'll try and find an image. Mike

Can anyone identify the regiment - based on possible colour of cap and the slip-on title - curved with 8 or 10 letters? Mike
