Unknown Pagri Flash
I have been asked to identify this flash which is on a WWI dated hat.
I'm stumped. Can anyone help? Jon |

Is it a strip of Burma Star ribbon, faded?

That was my first thought but the two thin strips at the outer edge are definitely different colours.

I don't think they are. It looks like one part may have faded more than the other. I would go with Burma Star ribbon, although why it would be on a pagri, I don't know.

I wonder if ,as well as fading, there has been some running of colours due to the ribbon getting wet ?

Is it the same width as the Burma Star ribbon?

Sorry, only have the photo so can't get dimensions.
Definitely not the Burma Star ribbon as the edge colours are the distinctly separate colours of Black/Yellow/Purple. Jon |

Now know that the ribbon is 5 cm wide.
