SAS Beret badge
Nothing very special about this 1980s vintage badge except that it was removed from his beret by WO1 (RSM) "Bronco" Lane 22 SAS on commissioning.
Unfortunately it did not accompany him up Mt Everest. Collectors of the esoteric will know that he donated his amputated frost-bitten finger tips to the National Army Museum. True Grit indeed! WO1 Lane.jpg |

Now that is a badge worth having.

I would say the badge is actually earlier than 80s vintage. Lovely piece Mike. Do you have a photo of the rear please?
