That's because it no longer exists I'm sorry to say. I have an image on CD-ROM for referencing purposes.

Mike,
Thanks and sorry to hear that it no longer exists. As I recall there was a huge amount of detailed information on the RAOC and RLC.

Sorry to learn that, Mike, it was a valued and useful resource. Could the RLC Museum not have funded its continuance?

I have donated a copy of the CD-ROM along with some of the reference material to the RLC Museum.

I am thinking of looking for a free hosting site to put it back up, but it also needs a bit of updating as well.

Historically the corps issued cannon and cannon balls of varied calibre, the corp motto 'to the thunderer his arms' and the the badge therefore correctly reflects this. Old soldiers tales abound with takes of troops being supplied with all left boots, wrong ammunition, and skis to Africa most of which are false or at best based on minor logistic errors of little consequence. Hope this helps
I was in The Queens Company Grenadier Guards during the 1st Gulf War, i was one of the smallest at 6ft. We got sent desert camo t-shirts size small and boots all size 9. I got called up for the 2nd Gulf War, we were given Artic Rations. I jest you not.

I do not think the Desert Cammo T Shirts were MoD issued? were they not plain sand coloured? and you should have got your boots before you departed?

Sometimes it is the Regimental QM who does not provide sizing charts in time!
In all my years of service I was never issued with an 'Extra Long' Sleeping Bag for example, and I was RAOC! [I did obtain an Artic 'Extra Long' however]

Artic Rations I do know about, they were issued out of war reserves, and were not that bad really, as they contained higher calories than the standard issue. Extra water should have been issued along with the Artic Rations by the supply chain.

Yes mistakes do happen, but not always the fault of who you think

Anyway the boots got burnt and the shirts used as rags for the Warrior.

I hope so, we had to bury kit as we had no room in the wagons due to the amount of ammunition.
