Default Canadian Astronaut wings

I can see on Chris Hadfield's mission "pick" badge that there is a set of astronaut military wings. What were the variants produced, and where is a source for them?

Thanks.

These wings have always been a bit of a mystery. They are not rare. I have seen them for sale at shows and on ebay. I am not sure, I think we have 6 or lso qualified people in Canada to wear that wing? Maybe a forum member can comment. If that low a number of people entitled to wear it, then strange that they even available to the public.

Only Mr. Hadfield has been qualified to wear the wings - you have to have flown is space in order to qualify and be part of the military - and therefore the required quantity by the Forces should be very limited.

I guess they still buy badges in bulk, and were probably left with a whole bunch of unused or likely to be unused badges around.

I too have seen the at shows and on the Bay.

I've seen a large bag of these wings in clothing stores. I'm assuming that there was a large order that was then distributed to the various bases.

Where does one locate the flight suit version of the astronaut wing? I would be very interested in one of these!

Be patient. They are around and not expensive. Do you live in Southern Ontario?
