Default royal dragoon cap badge not sure on age

hi all,

i am new to this site so if i have posted this in the wrong place sorry.

i have recently found this cap badge in a box which i purchased now me and a friend are having a disagreement over it i think its ww1 and he thinks it earier than ww1.
could someone give me there advice and if its original or reproduction please

If genuine it will be Victorian. Not my area of collecting, others will say if genuine or not.

I think if genuine it would have a separate tabbed WM title scroll.

I think you are both wrong, sadly, it appears to be of far more recent manufacture.
