Default Unknown bullion patch

Taking a chance in posting here. Would anyone have an idea what the pictured patch is - perhaps Royal Marines?
Any thoughts.
Cheers.

Default Bullion Patch

Hi John, appreciate you taking the time to reply. Have bookmarked the site you referred me to for future reference - most useful information. If I read correctly the patch would probably be pre 1930"s.
Cheers.
Len.

Hi Len,
It's the badge worn by RMLI men who had qualified as seaman gunners, it was replaced in the Marines in 1906. Introduced for the navy in 1890, not sure when the marines started to use it but will have been around that date.
Yours
John
