This looks to be a lugged version of the one in post 26. I have not seen a lugged version of this version before. I would welcome any thoughts or opinions. Unsure if it has patina or is a light bronze finish? Regards, Paul.

Latest from Rod Flood- pleased to get this 'bump on the nose' version.
Ones I steer clear of are J.R.Gaunt B'Ham sliders or ones with 'rounded' font. Regards, Paul. P1050198.jpg P1050200.jpg P1050201.jpg P1050193.jpg P1050195.jpg P1050196.jpg Last edited by wardog; 13-05-16 at 02:50 AM. |

Pedant alert:
It's a herd of horses if they are wild but a Troop (military), a Team (agricultural), a Harras (hunting) or a Stable (racing). The Yeomanry ceased wearing the Wonky Donky at the end of WW1 when they becase gunners, but re-adopted in c. 1943 before it was lost again due to re-roling and amalgamation. |

Berks Yeo
Worn on the green beret by Capt Philip Pinckney, Berks Yeo and 12 Cdo (and SAS?). Dropped into the Bologna area on 6 Sep 43 he and his team were captured and subsequently murdered by the Germans. Mike

Not enough for a Troop, and I am having to round them up- Rawhide! String of horses? I also call them 'My little ponies'...Regards, Paul.
A version with 'rounded' ends to letters used here- very unsure of this version- letters just don't look right. http://www.berkshireyeomanrymuseum.co.uk/ No slight against the museum- link used as it is likely to remain to view. Forum member Andrew French is assistant curator and has been very helpful with questions in the past. The museum is very keen to keep interest in the regiments history. Regards, Paul. Posting two Berks Yeo badges from my collection.
Would the chrome specimen be an NCO's arm badge? The back is not shiny chrome but a nice overall matt finish. It also has 2 loops at back. Comments welcome GTB |

The top badge looks to be the ORs Lambourne version which usually has lugs/loops in GM and with a maker mark on the back or on a plaque, or both. Regards, Paul.
