Lake Superior Regiment - Mazeas M172
Recent acquisition - Lake Superior Regiment.
It was listed on eBay by a well known Canadian dealer. This is a scarce badge. There was nothing wrong with the category the badge was listed in or the dealer's description, including the Mazeas reference. Nobody else bid on it. I'm actually quite disappointed that Canadian collectors aren't educating themselves. This badge just paid for my two Mazeas books and my two Cross books.

Why scarce? The LSSR isn't one of my areas of collecting.

Thank you for posting that.
Those are "THE LAKE SUPERIOR SCOTTISH REG'T" badges, not "THE LAKE SUPERIOR REG'T" which was the subject of my post. Phil

Lake Superior
Here is my Scully marked example, has unusual lugs.
The finish is very much like a post war 1950's badge. Mike |
