Default Canadian Combat badge

This interesting badge was on ebay a while back, first I have heard of this badge. Combat Mission Insignia, it was to be made in silver for those who have been involved in a combat mission and gold for coming under fire in a combat mission.

And the Combat Action Insignia, shown here, for those who were under fire while not involved in a combat mission.

I think this needs to be moved to general topics, not SF related.

Hi Mike

Yes, I've seen these on ebay for a while now. At best they are prototypes or drafts of a badge never adopted. The seller has had some JTF2 badges, as well.

I have a copy of those draft Combat Action Insignia rqmts and a blank nomination/application form somewhere on a stick that I was complete on my Platoon in Afg in '07. They got filled out but never sent in. Deleted.

Would have resulted in two or 3 of the troops getting bronze for being close enough 122mm rocket impacts. We weren't a combat force!!

regards
Darrell
