Another great photo. It looks like the CO is wearing the gilt on copper version of the cap and collar badges. Does the rank on the shoulders make it a 1918 photo?

The Ottawa Journal,15 June 1916.
Lleut.-Colonel Munro, officer commanding the 8th C.M.R.; has been transferred to the command of the Fort Garry Horse at Shorncliffe, All the senior officers of the 8th were transferred to the Cavalry Depot at Shorncllffe for instructional purposes, and the Junior officers were sent to Flanders shortly after the men and were attached to the 4th and 6th C. M. R. battalions and are there doing Infantry work. -
