Phill,

The FORESTERS title was worn in Italy in WW2 (I have theatre made examples) then into the 1950s I have a Foresters 49 pattern BD with these titles.

hope this helps

Much appreciated Mark

Before you posted this I put another thread on the forum.

Would the CST be worn by the Sherwood Foresters and or the Forester Brigade command c1948-58?

Also the "hand stitched" or "peddle powered" embroidered Foresters , which country is that made?

Mark will know, but I think the hand embroidered title will likely have been made in Italy for 5 Foresters in 139 Inf Bde, 46 Inf Div or 2 Foresters in 3 Inf Bde, 1 Inf Div. Mike

Mike,

You are correct. The hand embroidered versions are Italian made I can't definitively say which battalion 2nd,5th or 14th but they came with a number of KD items.

regards

Happy Xmas

Mark
