Default A & W Makers Mark Not Known To Me

Does the makers mark A & W Ltd B'Ham ring any bells with anyone. It's on a 'bronzed' (possibly brown painted brass...) Royal Horse Guards badge. I think the coating seems a bit cheap for a RHG badge, but hey it might have been 'just the ticket' for a horse guards officer that had spent all his money on gambling, loose women and pink gin...............

It came with a hundred or so other badges which all appear to be genuine. I will eventually be selling it, but didn't want to incorrectly describe it if it's a known fake.
Cheers
Mark

Default A & W Limited Birmingham

Not much help, but I assume you have seen this: http://www.oldcopper.org/makers/buttons_birmingham.php

Interesting Site.

It suggests the maker's mark is genuine, but does not prove that to be the case of course.
