Default Halifax Rifles new badge?

The Halifax Rifles were officially re-activated a couple of weeks ago. http://thechronicleherald.ca/Front/1121296.html
Has anyone seen the cap / collars / titles that the new unit is wearing? Cadpat titles?

Hi Bill, according to the informations (see below) the Halifax Rifles will be a Light Recce unit. They will be wearing the black beret so, the white metal badge should go with it. Also the C.O. has Armoured/Recce experience with the PEI Regt.

Not a great pic but you can see the new C.O. wearing the black beret with the badge and a red backing.

The unit has not received their badges as yet. The badges that they are wearing are King's Crown badges on loan from the Army Museum until the supply system sees fit to produce the badges. It was decided not to wear the QC badges from the cadet corps as they are cast and made in Pakistan and were deemed to look "too cheap".

They do have CADPAT titles made (private purchase) and are wearing them.

As an aside, the 2 I/C's brother is a silversmith so they are on the look out for an original QC badge that they can use to cast and have some badges made in the interim. They will be silver and no doubt (eventually) be the officer's badges for the unit.
