Yes thanks Chris, I'm sure you think you're being helpful but showing me more badges that I didn't know about, beautifully framed is just causing me more anxiety!!
Joking apart I had already been through your site and Robin Hodges's book and Expat Yeomanrys Essex Yeo book making a note of all the various dress distinctions and thanks to Bob (Bobanodised) I've now got most of the OR's collars apart from Berks Yeo.

I do have a couple of questions about your two photos,
1st are those North Somerset Yeo officers collars? We're they worn by 39 Sigs Regt?
2nd on the bottom left of the 2nd photo they appear to be Wiltshire Yeo collars POW feathers?

Slowly getting there thanks to all of you.

Sean

Default Signals Collar badges

Dear Sapper 533.

With regards to the collars of the North Somerset Yeomanry I am not aware that 39 Sigs Regt wore them. I have been advised and this goes back several years the that the collars I show were only worn on Mess Dress. Unfortunately I can not advise you as to where I go this information but I believe the collars were given to me by the PAO of the squadron and I am going on his information.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes

Chris Walker

Sean ,the Berkshire Yeo anodised are the same as the Berks & WDgns collar except Berkshire appears on the scroll. The star and cresent moon collars are SNCOs and above.

Thanks Mike
I was hoping to get away with using my B&WD collars but then spotted that they were gold colour I think Hodges book shows Berks Yeo being silver

I shared some photos last week with a mate that were on LINKEDIN Showing soldiers from the Royal Signals (71 Sigs) on mounted duty in London. Wonderful headdress shots of 2 x female soldiers with different coloured green centre bands and Jimmys placed weirdly.
